Love shooting in the Maldives

This is one of 3 blogs I am going to post from the stunning Islands of the Maldives where I just went last October to photograph a wedding and 2 shootings. What a lucky girl I am! This year took me to many wonderful places to photograph. Besides Santorini, London and Vienna this certainly is a unique destination for photographers like me and I believe, many of my colleague photographers would have switched places with me. I feel so thankful for this chance. The great thing of shooting in the Maldives is, that you are completely barefoot. The sand is a bit tricky though, and the gear needs defenetly special attention so the camera doesnt get too sandy. After all, I was all over the Sand and in the Water during those days, to get the Images I wanted…
I want to share a few impressions of the many Images we took during our shooting together. My lovely couple was so free in front of the camera and we had many laughs and lots of fun. Was it the perfect place? Or the romantic sunset? Maybe the freedom of beeing on vacation and one of the most beautiful places on earth? When I photograph a couple they sometimes are a bit nervous the first minutes. I ask them to close their eyes and imagine, to walk together hand in hand through the warm, crystal clear waters at a beautiful beach. When we think of romance, many people have the vision of a endless, white sandy beaches with a stunning sunset. This time, this advise was simply unnecessary. We had it all right there. The Island of Komandoo Island Resort in the beautiful Maldives Islands. It’s hard to beat this location. Isn’t this the most romantic spot to photograph a couple in love?
